I'll just do a quick post for you today, again using those lovely Stamp Addicts stamps.  This time I choose the lovely Polar Bear, you'll find him here: Polar Bear I prepared my MDF with white gesso, then a blend of inks, I used blue, purple and green.  I then stamped my lovely Polar bear, and blasted it with the heat gun to set the ink in place: I used acrylic paint to layer the white paint onto my polar bear.  I made a small mask of just the left side of my bear (a mask is when you stamp the bear onto a scrap piece of card, which you cut out and then put it over the stamped image.  This allows you to overstamp onto your image without ruining it).  I stamped my North Pole sign, slightly over my masked bear, so it looks like it is sitting behind the Polar Bear. I also stamped the icicles, but this time I used versamark and snowy glitter embossing powder. I added Cosmic Shimmer pearl PVA onto the snowy ground, and the icicles - I like the shine...

Welcome to the Hochanda blog, and another card made using the Chloe stamps.  I have been lucky in that I can pop into the Hochanda building to choose just what I want to craft with - but I didn't want to make just one project for each set of stamps.  I could use these for so many more projects - but I have so many other products to have a go at!  I'll hand my stamps back tomorrow....but for now, here's that wonderful background stamp again. This time I used cosmic shimmer Colour Clouds ink, check them out here: http://www.hochanda.com/ProductListing.aspx?id=Colour+clouds I inked the stamp up with a sponge, using the blue and the purple ink - allowing it to blend directly on the stamp.  You can stamp immediately, or alternatively spritz with water directly onto the stamp.  This will allow the ink to blend more evenly. Welcome back to the Hochanda blog.  Yesterday I promised I would give another take on the heart wreath stamp from Chloe .  When buying craft supplies, it's important to attempt to get different finishes, and therefore get real value for money - I think this is why I enjoy stamping so much.  Just this one stamp has given me so many idea's.  And let's face it, that can sometimes be our stumbling block. For this card I also used the snowflake background stamp from Chloe.  This is a very pretty stamp, and the snowflakes are so delicate yet intricate.  First I used my Versamark ink pad.  The versamark pad is one all stampers should own.  You can use it with your embossing powders or your mica powders - but it also acts as a "watermark" pad.  This means, it will produce a watermark effect when stamped on your card.  This creates a lovely background, subtle and sophisticated. Hi again, Jenny here with another card I made using the lovely Heart Wreath stamp from Chloe.  I wanted to show how versatile this stamp is, and how different it can look.  The first time I used it was with the MDF (see earlier post), but this time I used it with my gold embossing powder and distress inks: I stamped and embossed on card and then inked around the edges using my distress ink.  I spritzed it with water, to allow the inks to move and blend.  Whilst the paper was still quite damp, I created the creases at the top and bottom of the image.   Using the Cosmic Shimmer coloured PVA, I've added a little texture, and when dry they keep their shape, so look like faux pearls. The edge of the card has been created using the edge of the stamp.
