International Craft Awards success for Hochanda!

We are incredibly proud to announce that Hochanda has been awarded SILVER in the Best TV Shopping Channel for Crafts category at the International Craft Awards 2015. We are the first to ever win an award outside of the nominations due to consumer choosing to populate the “other” box when voting with Hochanda as preferred winner.

The Craft Awards have been a highlight of the craft calendar for more than a decade. Now in their 11th year they have become established as a genuine mark of quality within the industry. They are voted for entirely by the readers of Crafts Beautiful and Papercrafter Magazines, who have a real passion for their hobby and the products and personalities that inspire them to craft. This award is a huge achievement for Hochanda and is a positive reflection of our channel and it’s standing within the ever-thriving craft industry.

An award certificate will be presented on 22nd February at the upcoming Craft, Hobby & Stitch International Show at the NEC in Birmingham and two of our buyers will attend to collect the certificate. We will keep you posted with photos as the event unfolds!

Voting took place during Hochanda’s first 3 months of launch.  A significant moment that the Hochanda family is immensely proud of. Let’s hope for gold next year!

Keep watching! Tune into Hochanda live online, on Freeview channel 39, Sky channel 663 or Freesat 817.

We're thrilled to welcome Lotte  Littau, the co-founder and co-owner of Creativ Company to Hochanda this week. She's travelled all the way from Denmark to bring you incredible shows across three days, showcasing the Christmas paper range from Creativ Company. Lotte will be bringing you lots of demonstrations throughout her shows on how you can use all of these beautiful papers to create a Scandi Christmas this year. Here's just one of the projects Lotte will be showing this week...  Step 1. Half two 2.5cm wide paper star strips. Now only use three of the four paper star strips. Step 2. Double over each of the three paper star strips and cut all the ends at an angle. Put a star strip around another star strip and fold it tightly three times around this star strip. This is illustrated in the picture. Repeat this process with the other two star strips. Step 3. Assemble the three paper star strips over and under each other, forming three double le
